Wheres my Snuggie

I'm beginning to like Jonathan Coulton that much more after the pod cast.  I don't think that by calling him a Snuggie was meant to be derogatory.  Coulton and the inventor of the Snuggie are laughing all the way to the bank.  What Coulton did was reach out to an audience he could relate to which is what the music industry tries to do everyday; Coulton just did it in a way where he got to keep 100% of what he makes.  I don't believe that his business idea is niche. Coulton was smart because he did what all record companies have been doing for years (making money) the difference with Coulton and other mainstream artist is that he did it on his terms and no one elses.

  1. I totally agree with Coulton's business plan. I think what those NPR people don't understand is that business have to and need to evolve in order to remain successful. And that includes the music industry.

  2. I totally agree as well. It shows that you can have all control over what you make AND make the profits off it. This is very good news for people in the music world
