Petition for more online classes.
So, I loved class today and we had it on the computer. BUT, i did get some crazy looks when I started laughing out loud (sorry other library people). But, I think that since this is a media 2.0 class, we should have another class like this. It was interesting because it was a lesson but way more participation was going on than in class. We got to make our little funny comments, and still stay on topic, for the most part (Full House got us off topic for a few minutes, another lol moment)! Anywho, I enjoyed class today. And I enjoyed our readings we had to do for it. I think that Planet Money Podcast set Coulton up, but hey thats just me. I guess I wanted a blanket with sleeves. And like Coulton said, his business model is one that can be duplicated, it has been duplicated, in fact he had duplicated it from the industry. The only difference is that he is not 'mainstream' but he makes all of his profit. He doesnt have to worry about lawyers and promotional strategies. His fans take care of him, because he is devoted to his fanbase. And I think that is what is required now a days. But thats just my opinion.

I'm with you, Kimberly. I love the classroom on campus too but some classes like this one helps to really show the power of Media 2.0. in very tactile ways.
ReplyDeleteclass today was fun and exciting and everyone had the chance to voice there opionions and everyone was actually able to read it and return the feedback. I would have no problem with another class like this. Yes kim I heard your lol in the library. Im anticipated in seeing are speaker now on this thing called "Skype"
ReplyDeleteI am signing the petition for more online adobe classes. It was great to be a part of the conversation! I learned so much from the comments in a real-time interactive experience!
ReplyDelete:) okay, maybe Ms Markman will take this into consideration since we all LOVED it. :) But the library headphones suck, so i have to be a little more prepared next time.
ReplyDeleteI vote yes for another online class!!! and I'll try not to bring up more Full House-like -off topic- comments..... or maybe i will...
ReplyDeleteSometimes the drift is the gift. It is the small comments that make online discussion become more like a conversation.
