After much debate, I have decided on the Nintendo 64 mega hit, "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time". This game came out when I was just nine years old, and it blew my mind! At the time, the graphics were way ahead of anything I had ever seen before. The complex adventure story was riveting, keeping me glued to the screen for hours on end. To this day it is still considered a hallmark of gaming, in fact, Guinness World Records lists it as the highest rated video game ever reviewed. Not to mention it has sold over 7.5 million copies worldwide.
I believe this subject will be great for my Wikipedia project because the obsessive nature of gamer, and their meticulous treatment of their favorite games. Hence there is much lively discussion and debate.
I still love this game, partly because it gave me a love of problem solving that now serves me well in the workplace. But it also gave me a sweet role-model -- Link, the sword wielding, tunic wearing hero of the story. All things considered, I could have done worse : )
Check it out! The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Looks like a great article and should make for a great project. Approved.
ReplyDeleteI actually played the 1986 version: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Legend_of_Zelda_(video_game). That was a cool game.
