Welcome to Spoilerville

I instantly related to Jenkins first chapter. The topic of spoiling TV shows, movies, and books is commonplace within social media. I really enjoyed his account of the first recorded account of spoilers on one of my favorite shows "Twin Peaks". I find that the internet today makes it easier than ever before to spoil media for others. I remember "Lost" had a huge contingency of fans involved in spoiling.

Recently there was a small bit of spoiling in my own home. After watching "True Blood" my girlfriend posted a crucial plot twist from the show on Face Book. I told her she should have posted a spoiler alert to those not wanting to know. She didn't really care stating that the information could have been taken any number of different ways. Either way it's fun to see Jenkins observations ringing true in my own home.
