please, no black box
To think that someone wanted everything to go to one black box!?! Oh my gosh, I would be lost. I love having my cell phone for mobility. My laptop when tv gets too boring, and my television to catch up on the news or play video games. What if the black box fallacy had actually become a reality?? Life would be boring, we would never leave our living rooms. At least we are able to take our media with us in whatever form we want to have it in. I love that technology is emerging and never dying. It is exciting. But then again, you think, how can it get much better than this? And everytime I ask that question, something new comes out. In my lifetime I have seen so many changes. Tvs- no more knobs, no more antennas, better gaming systems, etc. Cell phones were this big bulky thing, that was only two colors, black and maybe red or green numbers on the 1/2 in screen. Now I can do as much on my phone as you could a computer. And finally the computer, no more two tone screens, or bulky monitors. You can have a flat screen, no longer needing the tower for the computer because you can have them built in. Laptops are so much lighter with better batteries than they had before. The applications on all of these mediums have improved, the quality and picture has as well. It is amazing to think about. But I cant think of how it could get any better. So I will not be one to predict the future of technology. The black box fallacy is one thing that I am very excited to know that the prediction was wrong about, almost as happy as the world not ending on 5/21/11, lol, People come on, we cant predict the future!! Thats what makes life so exciting.
