We have constantly moved away from the world our parents new. From the days of local news at 5 and the Candidates for the presidential election focused on the issues at hand, we have evolved technologically and seemingly devolved socially.
Presidential election, how many people can tell you Romney's beliefs versus Ron Paul's? Who can tell you about the sexual harassment scandal that seems to dominate the social air waves and networks? We seem to care more about a real life Jerry Springer special vs the future of our country.
This ties into the fact that no one really watches local news. We google. And the first results are the personal tidbits that are ammo against the Candidates. No one cares about what is going on unless its entertainment
true fact, i couldn't tell you who the candidates are or what they believe and i'll just "google" what is going on with the political debates. But the next question is who is going to watch the debate or election on the television? because i think a lot of people will utilize their technology outlets (including myself) and watch a streaming version of the debate or watch uploaded videos of the most important things to watch.
