Guest Speakers
Brian Ibbot was a much more enjoyable guest speaker than the previous one. He actually utilized Media 2. 0 concepts to do something that pretains to my interests, and the concepts and effects were instantly recognizable. To take a podcast from his basement to having 15000 listeners and 320 paid supporters by using the ideas and practices we are taught reall takes the impact of these concepts to a much higher level. It shows proper utilization of these skills can lead to a successful media venture in the market place. Very inpirational.

Brian was very sweet and funny ...something that young adults like in a guest speaker. Scott is probably used to letting his work speak for him and thus his public communication skills aren't as on tap as a radio personality or podcaster's would be. Brian has had so much practice in speaking to a large audience. I enjoyed hearing him speak and to know that he is able to get that much support gives me motivation to start doing some of the things him and scott do to help fund things like my iReportMemphis site to shoot positive news stories about Memphis. In all, I think we did have a better time with Brian, but we can take valuable things from both of them.
